ok ok sorry i know that at this point ive essentially posted the same drawing three times in one day… it’s for something specific im trying to accomplish with my art, and i just wanted to share my results with you guys along the way lol. but iill make up for the redundancy by actually telling you guys about who this character even is!

this is byte, and she came from a dream i had a couple months ago. i dont remember a whole ton of the details anymore but in the dream there was this high-tech amusement park with all sorts of AIs that helped run the park and provide entertainment to guests… by… fighting each other? putting on plays? i cant remember exactly. but the way the park worked, some of the entertainment AIs would be disposed of (or maybe just moved into storage) after a certain period of time and replaced with new AIs to keep the park fresh and new for guests so they could have unique experiences each time they went. 

byte is one AI that was able to outlast the ‘rotation’ process by camping out in other parts of the park than where she was originally assigned, and dodging the programmers whose job it was to rotate out old AI’s. byte eventually escaped cyberspace, or at least the corner of it that the park controlled, and started messing with other machinery to take revenge for her fallen comrade AIs that were not quite self aware enough to defend themselves

byte is more mischievous than outright malevolent and doesnt want to harm the guests, but when it comes to the programmers that trapped her, she’s much more serious about giving them a taste of their own medicine.

whether or not the AIs actually got destroyed after being removed from the park is up in the air (according to the original dream plot, since it was mostly from byte’s perspective) and im not sure which answer i like better yet but anyway thats the story
