2 weeks ago, we had a series of evening baroque-romantic music concerts at my school, and people were clapping between movements, people with no knowledge that musicians find it disrespectful. And some people who do know were ticked off by that. What do you think of people who find it disrespectful to clap between movements?
It definitely depends on the environment, but people enjoy music in different ways, so I’m totally fine with it!
Usually, there’s a hand gesture the band leader or conductor gives to signify the end of the piece and cues the audience to start clapping, but eh, you get what you can!
