If I understand it right - and if not please correct me - basically, we're operating on the idea that either A. there's nothing after you die, or B. if there is, you don't remember it - I assume the latter considering the setting - so from Twi's perspective, there's no gap between her death and rebirth. It's like when you wake up if you don't have a dream; there's nothing in between falling asleep and waking up that you remember, one minute it's 11 PM, then the very next, it's 9 AM the next day.
Precisely. She remembers absolutely nothing, hence why she freaks out in her bed afterward.
Enough to knock over a bookshelf.
One minute, she’s flying hard-core into the sun, all prepared to die for saving the world.
The next, she’s back home, in her bed. It’s weird, but she’s very much not dead.
This is concerning and she starts freaking out, but when her friends come in the room, all her fears and concerns are alleviated.
She sees her friends.
She’s home.
