Oh, my friend.
Oh boy, you are so wrong.
The first entry into a worddoc on my computer was July 14th, 2012.
This wasn’t a whine fest. This was a project.
A project that lived and died numerous times over the months.
A project that I got the courage to write, and gave up nearly as much.
This project defined 2013 for me.
Beyond canon.
Beyond fanon.
You don’t understand.
I poured my literal blood, sweat, and tears into this project. This project ate the better half of exams, classes, homework assignments, commencement ceremonies working on Destiny: A Tale of Unicorn Wings.
You don’t understand, my friend.
I have PAGES UPON PAGES of art and PAGES UPON PAGES of early conceptualisation, I had HOURS of musical ideas, and that was before I even armed the first guitar track or sequenced the first synthesizer.
Months, my friend.
All in all, if I’m adding up all the hours correctly, and some were lost along the way, this project took me 1106 hours.
One-thousand one-hundred and six hours.
One-thousand one-hundred and six hours pent up in a dorm room and an apartment writing every character emotion. One-thousand one-hundred and six hours writing every minor event. One-thousand one-hundred and six hours on composing every minor chord structure. One-thousand one-hundred and six hours structuring every single motif to invoke a plethora of emotions that you didn’t even know that odd intervals and super imposed meters could even influence your emotional state as I take you through this story.
One-thousand one-hundred and six hours writing the best goddamn album this fandom has ever seen.
So once again, I must inform you…
Oh boy, you are wrong, my friend.
You don’t understand.
This isn’t another whinefest about Alicorn Twilight.

This is THE whinefest.
