ok it’s really convoluted and weird but here you go

things you need:

1. MIDI Yoke I’m not even sure where I got this but the filesize from this download location seems to match the filesize of my download (fixed link with the same page I got my copy from. thanks somasis) so…get that installed. This will allow you to route virtual midi signals or whatever.

2. Fergo JoystickMIDI this is kinda wonky and weird but it worked best for me. This will transform your controller into midi notes (which are sent to MIDI Yoke)

3. this USB adapter any USB adapter should work but this is what I use.

4. JoyToKey this comes in handy for when you want to link buttons on your controller to hotkeys in your DAW

5. Max4Live this is optional but handy for hotswapping samples/whatever without dropping your controller, but be careful as it can add a lot of latency to your rig (esp. if you’re using a laptop as crappy as mine)
