These “answer some questions tag your friends” things go around and typically I don’t usually participate (because they’re usually insanely large posts), but it’s been quite a long time since I’ve written a post about myself directly, so I’ve gone ahead and gone through with posting it, under a Readmore for people’s dashes! 1.) Why did you choose your URL?

My username for most public forums and identities has been LasFas for quite some time, like 2007 to be precise. Ever since then, I found my first website that already had someone using that name and so I had to improvise. The last thing I had heard about at the time was the band “Hey Ocean!” so I decided to append the exclaimation Hey on the front of LasFas. What does “LasFas” mean specifically? It’s the first thing that appeared on the screen when I smashed my hands into the keyboard back in like 2007 when I was registering for a Flash 8 demo on Adobe’s website..

2. What is your middle name?

Icarus. Originally my middle name was Christian, but I really was tired of people calling me the protagonist of 50 Shades of Gray and then laughing about it with their friends.

3. If you could own a fairytale/fictional pet, what would it be?

Oh no. I’m not going down that road. That’s how you become a protagonist. That’s how your friends start disappearing or your pet starts taking over the town and eating everything in site. I’ve seen enough TV for this. Nice try, internet.

4. Favorite Color?

Royal purple was always my favourite hue and I really love off-black as a shade. More recently I’ve taken an affinity to verdant green. I wonder why.

5. Favorite Song?

Oh, here we go, I’ve been waiting for this question for a loooong time. I would arrange my musical tastes into a few categories and pick out all the needlessly specific details of what I love about music, but I’ll keep it super brief:

Favourite classical song: Piano Sonata no. 14 in C# minor, “Moonlight Sonata” - Ludwig van Beethoven

Favourite jazz piece: “Rhapsody In Blue” - George Gershwin

Favourite modern track: “I. Someone Like Him” (from Octavarium)- Dream Theater (0:00-8:46)

6. What are your top three fandoms?

Robots, Girls, Robot Girls. I mean, Cave Story, SMitTy, and NGE have pretty damn cool art going on all the time. I guess that counts? Fandom is a difficult word to pin down.

7. Why do you enjoy Tumblr?

The tumultuousness of the human collective on the internet is just sometimes utterly fascinating to observe. It’s like a train wreck that somehow has lasted 8 years. To be fair, I enjoy tumblr as an aggregate for content more than the alternatives (reddit, facebook, twitter) and a lot of my good friends are on here more actively than other social media sites.

There’s some WILD shit on here though.
