Nightfall By You REMIX CONTEST!

So you might have heard that I’m remastering Nightfall, as well as adding a whole bunch more content along with it. Some of it would be additional, previously dropped segments of the story.

Some of it I’m actually looking for your help.

That’s right.

You.

It’s your time to shine.

That’s why I’m holding my very very first REMIX CONTEST.

The rules are also quite simple. Simple enough for me to write them.

Remix or re-record a track from the original Nightfall. Electronic or Acoustic. Any Genre. Just. Go. For It.

~~~~HOWEVER!~~~~

I’m NOT looking for a cover.

It’d be pretty silly to have a cover of a song on the same album as the original is on. I’m looking for an interesting retelling of the story, or a complete overhaul in the composition.

An amazing electronic example is WolfOfSadness’s Lucid Remix. Awww yeah.

———SO, WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME!?———

I’m glad you asked that!

The first of all important prize is that if you do a great job with it, you will be asked to be a guest on the publication of the Nightfall: Deluxe album!

There will also be a panel of judges that will listen to all the remixes/reimaginings and determine the winner! That winner will receive a legit cash prize! The amount will be determined by how much competition there is. :pp

Alternatively, there are a bunch of other prizes that I’m currently working out to deliver to you. Keep an eye on the HeyLasFas tumblr or the #NightfallByYou tag!

———OKAY, SO HOW AM I GOING TO DO IT?———

Well, you’re encouraged to start from scratch and build up your own reimagining of the Nightfall story! However, if you’d prefer, HeyLasFas is willing to pass out the original stems and discuss story and concepts for you!

You have until the One-Year Anniversary of Nightfall, May 30th, 2013.

There, HeyLasFas will post all the submissions and let the community vote and listen.

Depending on interest, the deadline might fluctuate! Be wary!

Phew, glad we ruled that one out.

Aside from Money, I haven’t ever listened to that album. No dislike at all, just never got around to it.

This is the second one I’ve gotten (first being this one), but I think this is more Decibel-y.

I think dead people need botox more than ever.

Right now, the only video camera I have is my phone, I’m actually banned from using the video equipment in the school itself, and I’m not an animator at all. I have a few animator friends, but a music video for one of my tracks is LUDICROUS to even consider.

Remember that that Picture Perfect Pony animation took two months to do. That was a 3 minute song, iirc. My tracks are stupid long.

(I’d like to think that all these anons are coming from the same person, and it makes me laugh.)

This is my 9th semester. It costs $10,500 a semester for tuition, and another $7,416 for my dorm room. There’s a little more to it than that, but those are the really basic numbers.

Nah, it’s been great actually. Only I can bring myself down, I suppose.
