This is really interesting. Or not, I’m weird.

This of course being the first post that breached 2000 notes, has two different stems.

There’s two versions of that post that’s going around. The original with “bronies” on the second line, and the altered take with “directioners” on the second line.

Now, of course, the altered cut came from a single source. Only one person would make the edit, but alas, that change garnered more attention than the original cut. Like, a solid 80-20 split.

Now, just a brief glance, those that reblog the original are closest to me in the large branch system that is social media. These would be, naturally, bronies and homestucks.

Most of the altered reblogs like Superwholock and the like. It would make a lot of sense, considering that there had to be some connection to a fandom for a single edit to garner a wider audience.

I compare it to the tales of old that always were rewritten because they were only told by shaman, leaders, mothers, etc. and there never was a unified written way to detail a story. It is a social circle, but with modern technology, has the author become unbound to his or her original work?

Possibly, it’s something that fascinates me to no end.

It, however, is a block of text that you probably don’t care to read, ha!

Regardless, I’m interested in the nature of this beast as it grows into the morn.

It’s also 7am and I’m tired.
