Did you know I can only think of four things at a time? Right now I'm thinking about the number 77, time signature metered time signatures, cute anime characters, and a haircut.

No seriously, feel free to talk to me for whatever reason. Askbox is always open as well as Skype.

Time.

Time is *still* a terrible thing.

If you are going to be one of those “in the middle” types that try to balance one side with another and determine who’s right, good on you, but don’t forget to follow up with genuine support, because sometimes, one side actually is correct and in the right. Sometimes, the other side is actually…

Heh, don’t worry man! Peeps like you need to exist, yo

I’ll keep this word of advice posted

I think the problem most people - at least as far as I've seen - have with it is underrepresentation of the female members of the fandom.
Anonymous

Like yeah, I do have an understanding of that, it’s foolish to think that there’s only male members in the mlp fandom

but wasn’t the documentary specifically about how unexpected of it was that there was such an impact upon male members

deconstructing the convention of a gender role by using one common complacence (boys shouldn’t play with pony dolls) to show its absurdity?

Iunno, that’s what Ms. Faust wanted to do from when I talked with her, albeit briefly

My only problem with the doc is that it's more of telling the stories of some bronies rather than actually documenting on what bronies are.
Anonymous

That’s a reasonable criticism, yeah

heylasfas:

<snip>

like, yes it was nearly exclusively about the male fans of mlp

but from everything I know, bronies literally made, produce, and funded the project for themselves.

<snip>

let me just rearrange it to help you see (one of) the problems.

like, from everything I know, bronies literally made, produce, and funded the project for themselves.

but yes it was nearly exclusively about the male fans of mlp

seriously tho, can we move on from this topic? it’s so damn old.

um yeah that’s nearly verbatim what I said, I still don’t see the problem

Heh, I just commented after I saw a post goin’ round daring peeps to see how long they can go through the thing without cringing etc. and I wanted to chip in

circuitfry replied to your post:Okay so like
how about we stop labeling criticism as hate and actually address it like big adults?

but I’m a little adult

Anyway, fine, let’s talk.

like more seriously

people are upset that the my little pony documentary was exclusively about bronies

when this is a fundamentally incorrect statement

like, yes it was nearly exclusively about the male fans of mlp

but from everything I know, bronies literally made, produce, and funded the project for themselves.

and hell, I’m pretty sure that Lauren Faust helped mobilise the project in the first place

like really I’m not seeing the problem here

What exactly is it about the documentary people hate so much, anyway? I haven't seen it, so I don't know what exactly the big deal is.
